  • How is the card stock managed?

    For a faster go to market, we can provide you with our card stock on which you can apply your own logo.

    If you want to also personalize the cards' colors and design, you will need to order your own stock. We will assist you during this process that usually takes a few weeks!


  • Do you have a dashboard?

    Almost! We are currently doing our best to finalize it as soon as possible.

    In the meantime, our partners still have the possibility to keep an eye on their data through our API.

    Any feedback or suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated!

  • What are the environments available to our partners?

    Our partners have access to two separate environments:

    1. A sandbox : It allows you to play with “fake” money (i.e. doing transactions, load cards, transfer funds,..), test the onboarding and try all our tools.
    2. A Live/production env. : It is the real deal. You can use it to open accounts, issue cards, load them with funds and do transactions.
  • What are the available currencies?

    In order to support our Partners in their international expansion ambitions, we allow them to open accounts and issue cards in the following currencies

    • Euro (€)
    • Pound Sterling (£)
    • Dollar ($)
  • Do I need my own back-end?

    We do provide our partners with a fully operational and optimized back-end.

    However, it is not mandatory to use it and they are free to use their own as well.

  • Can I integrate your KYC services into my application?

    We will provide you with the SDK (Software Development Kit) that will enable you to integrate our KYC (Know Your Customer) checks directly into your own product.

    Important note, it won’t mention LinkCy and will appear to be under your own brand!

  • What is a sandbox?

    A Sandbox is an isolated testing environment that enables users to run programs or open files without affecting the other application, system or platform on which they run. 

    Softwares developers use sandboxes to test new programming codes and suspicious programs that could contain malware. It allows a higher protection of the customers’ data.

  • Do I need to integrate with other providers besides LinkCy?

    You don’t, LinkCy is the one stop shop of embedded finance!

    We took care of integrating all the providers needed to offer payment services (Core Banking System, Processor, ID verification, Strong Customer Authentication,..).

    This way, our partners only have to integrate our API to benefit from all of them.

  • What is an API?

    API means Application Programming Interface. It is needed for the integration of any type of services into your existing product. 

    It is a fundamental tool to bring applications together, to share data and to execute predefined processes.

  • How long does it take to integrate your banking services in our product?

    Thanks to our optimized and well documented API, integrating banking services has never been so fast!

    Depending on the complexity of your project and the seniority of your engineering team, it can be as quick as 3 weeks and no longer than 3 months.

  • How do you protect our data?

    Our database is encrypted from end-to-end.

    It is also fully backed up and can be recovered within minutes.

  • Are you PSD2 compliant?

    From account login to payment validation, we require a strong authentication for each sensitive action.

    To ensure the smoothest experience possible for your customers, we even allow them to choose between the following biometrics:

    • Face match
    • Finger print
    • Behavioral
  • Where will my funds be held?

    Your funds will be kept in a safeguarded account held at a credit institution. 

    The money deposited on this type of account cannot be invested or lent and is therefore not at risk in case of bank failure.

  • Do I need to get regulated in order to integrate payment services in my product?

    You don’t need to, LinkCy takes care of all the regulatory topics and lets you focus on your core business.

  • What types of transfers do you offer?

    We can provide you and your clients with:

    • SEPA : for all the incoming and outgoing payments in the EEA (i.e. from Italy to France)
    • BACS : for all the incoming and outgoing payments in the UK (i.e. from Wales to Ireland)
    • SWIFT : for all the incoming and outgoing payments worldwide (i.e. from China to Togo)
  • Can I simulate transactions?

    You can simulate any type of transaction thanks to our test API and save a considerable amount of time. 

  • Do you provide a white label banking app?

    We developed a fully customizable banking app that allows natural persons to manage their day to day expenses via cards or transfers.

    You can personalize it with your own logo, colors, designs,.. and sell it to your clients in less than a month!

  • How long does it take to get an IBAN?

    After validation of the onboarding by the Compliance team, the IBAN associated with the newly opened account is automatically generated.

  • What type of cards do you offer?

    LinkCy can provide you with corporate (for businesses) and consumer (for natural persons) cards.

    They can be physical or virtual (recurring or one-time payments).

    Finally, we only provide debit cards as they have higher payment limits and a much better acceptance rate than prepaid ones.

    However, we can restrict them so that they work the same way as prepaid cards.

  • What information is needed to open a legal entity account (KYB)?

    Each new client needs to provide us with:

    • E-mail address and phone number of the account owner
    • Website
    • Volume of expenses expected
    • Liveness detection for only 1 legal representative of the legal entity (Verification tool provided by LinkCy)
    • Valid ID or Passport of each UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owners with 25% or more of the entity’s shares)
  • What information is needed to open a natural person account (KYC)?

    Each new client needs to provide us with:

    • E-mail address
    • Phone number
    • Valid ID or Passport + Liveness detection (Verification tool provided by LinkCy)
    • Proof of address < 3 months old (not required if the client orders a physical card)
  • Is LinkCy a bank?

    LinkCy is not a bank or neo-bank, these terms are reserved for entities with a credit institution license.

    We rely on an electronic money institution license to provide payment services.

    These include accounts with IBANs, cards, various transfer methods, etc.

    However, we cannot provide loans, at least for now!

  • What is embedded finance?

    Embedded finance allows non-financial companies to integrate banking services into their web and/or mobile interfaces via a third party (LinkCy). 

  • Are you GDPR compliant?

    Working with LinkCy is the guarantee that you are GDPR compliant.

    Validated by a specialized law firm, our personal data protection framework works as follows:

    • LinkCy acts as the data controller who determines the purposes for which, and the way in which, personal data is processed ;
    • You act as the data processor who processes personal data on behalf of the data controller.

    You may act as the data controller for data in relationship with your clients that fall beyond the scope of our partnership agreement.

  • How long does it take to onboard a new client?

    Before opening an account for an individual, it is mandatory to verify its identity. It is called the KYC or Know Your Customer.

    To do so, we need to gather a few basic information, including a valid ID and a selfie, and analyze them with our tools to avoid identity thefts or dangerous persons.

    Almost completely automated, this process usually takes around 10 minutes. However, it may sometimes need a manual action and in this case, will take a maximum of 48 hours.


    For a legal entity, the same process is called KYB or Know Your Business.

    More complex, it always requires a manual intervention from the Compliance Team and takes a maximum of 48 hours.

  • Do we need a Compliance Team?

    You do not, LinkCy takes care of all the AML (Anti-Money Laundering) related processes (ID verification, Screening, Risk scoring, Transaction monitoring, Reportings,..).

    With our experienced Team and state of the art tools, we guarantee the best possible customer experience without compromising on security.

  • What pricing can I apply to my end-users?

    As part of our partnership, LinkCy charges you fees as summarized in the "pricing" annex of our contract.

    On top of these, you have the discretion to apply the pricing of your choice to your customers.

  • Can you ship cards worldwide?

    We can deliver your cards all over the world, as long as the recipients are EEA (European Economic Area) citizens or residents.

  • Can I customize my cards’ design?

    With the support of our Design Team, you are able to completely personalize the visual rendering of your cards.

    You can pick the color(s), pattern and logo of your choosing. The only element that can’t be tampered with is Visa’s logo.

    Then, when you are happy with the result, it usually takes around 5 working days for Visa to validate the design before launching the production.

  • Do you provide credit cards?

    LinkCy does not provide credit cards per se.

    We can offer prepaid and debit cards (more details in the article "What types of cards do you offer?".)

    However, we are currently working on developing a partnership in this sense.

  • Can we choose between Visa and Mastercard for our card scheme?

    For the time being, we can only provide you and your end-users with Visa cards. 

    However, the partnership with Mastercard is in the making as for now. 

  • Can I change the payment limits on my cards?

    Your cards’ limits are almost completely customizable.

    Based on the risks associated with your activity, our Compliance Team will define upper limits per:

    • Transaction (ex: maximum of 100€ per transaction)
    • Day (ex: maximum of 1.000€ and/or 10 transactions per day)
    • Week
    • Month
    • Year

    It won’t be possible to exceed them without the approval of our Compliance Team.

    However, you can set all the possible limits within these thresholds and no validation will be needed (ex: maximum of 200€ and/or 5 transactions per day instead of 1.000€ and/or 10 transactions).

    It will also be possible to update these limits at any time directly via our API (ex: maximum of 20€ → 30€ per transaction).

  • Where is LinkCy available?

    Regulated in the EEA (European Economic Area), LinkCy is available all over Europe and soon in the UK & the US!

    Here is the exact list: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and soon the United Kingdom.
